How To Reset The Control Panel On A Maytag Jet Dry Dishwasher
Tip
If these steps do not work to reset your Maytag dishwasher control panel, unplug or otherwise disconnect the appliance from its power source. Leave the appliance unplugged for at least an hour to allow the control panel to reset.
Warning
A dishwasher that continues to malfunction may indicate that the control panel for the circuit board needs to be replaced, rather than just reset. Contact Maytag to arrange for service if your dishwasher is still under warranty. Attempting to repair a warrantied appliance may void the warranty and make your appliance ineligible to receive future repair services from the manufacturer.
Founded in 1893 in Newton, Iowa, the Maytag Corporation is a well-known appliance manufacturer and a division of the Whirlpool Corporation. Maytag's Jetclean Plus dishwashers are undercounter, large capacity dishwashers that can wash up to 14 place settings per load and are made especially for use with rinsing aids such as Jet-Dry. Occasionally, the dishwasher's electronic control panel malfunctions, activating the demo mode. In demo mode, the control panel lights will flash, but you will be unable to run any dishwashing cycles. Reset the control panel to get the dishwasher to function normally.
Step 1
Open and close the door of your Maytag dishwasher.
Step 2
Locate the "Rinse" button on the dishwasher control panel. Press and release the button five times in quick succession.
Step 3
Press and release the adjacent "Drain/Off" button on the control panel two times; this will deactivate the dishwasher's demo mode.
