How To Troubleshoot An EdenPure
Tip
Set up the heater close to a warm interior wall and point it toward a cold external wall. The heated air will naturally flow toward the cooler wall and maximize circulation.
Warning
Don't set up the heater directly on a cold stone, granite or cement floor as this will cause the heater's thermostat to register cooler temperatures. Instead, place it on a chair or table.
EdenPure is a portable home heating system designed and manufactured by SCI Partners. As the weather turns cold, many North American homeowners turn to their EdenPure heaters to warm their homes. Unfortunately, even a new EdenPure heater may malfunction.
Step 1
Check that the EdenPure portable heater is plugged into a reliable, functioning power outlet if the heater turns off, has poor heat output or doesn't turn on. Plug in another appliance, such as a laptop or desk lamp, to ensure the power outlet is functioning. Avoid using an extension cable, as this may reduce the power the heater receives.
Step 2
Reset the heater's thermostat if the room isn't warming sufficiently. Turn the thermostat to its hottest setting. Wait 4 minutes for the internal fans to turn on and Mstart circulating the heat. When your room has reached a desirable temperature, turn the thermostat knob to a lower heat as marked on its dial. Ensure the thermostat clicks at your desirable temperature. The EdenPure heater then cycles on and off to keep the temperature constant.
Step 3
Clean the EdenPure's filter tray if you notice the heater's performance decreasing. A clogged filter reduces the heater's output of hot air. Turn off the heater and find the filter tabs located on the EdenPure's back grill. Slide the tabs upward to remove the air filter. Rinse under hot water until the water runs clear. Set the filter aside and allow it to air dry thoroughly. Depending on your local climate, this may take several hours. Slide the filter back into the EdenPure heater and resume use.
Step 4
Move the EdenPure heater to increase its heating capacity if you notice its fans running constantly. Due to its small size, the heater works best in small, enclosed spaces that are free from drafts. Move the heater away from windows, exterior walls and doors.
