Tip
Reclosable bags can be sealed and unsealed multiple times using a FoodSaver.
Reclosable bags are useful for short-term storage due to the ease of opening and closing the bags. The seal on these bags is not strong enough for long-term food storage. A vacuum sealer is needed for long term food storage. Reclosable bags can be sealed with a FoodSaver for a stronger seal that can be used for long-term storage. The FoodSaver will remove the air and seal the reclosable bag, allowing the contents to stay fresh for a much longer period of time.
Step 1
Cut the zipper seal off the bag. Cut directly below the seal in order to get a straight cut.
Step 2
Fill the bag with whatever it is that you want to store.
Step 3
Place the top of the bag onto the sealing strip of the FoodSaver.
Step 4
Press the "Vacuum & Seal" button. The air will be removed from the bag. Once the air is removed, the FoodSaver will automatically seal the bag.
