How To Disinfect Wood Furniture
Things Needed
-
Spray bottle
-
White vinegar
-
Dish soap
-
Cleaning rags
Wood furniture is found in many homes, used as anything from the kitchen table to an end table in the living room. Germs can develop on the wood furniture just as with any other surface around the home, which makes it important to incorporate a cleaning and disinfecting routine. A homemade cleaner disinfects well and is safe for any type of wood surface or wood finish.
Step 1
Fill a spray bottle with 2 cups water, 1 cup white vinegar and about five drops dish soap if the wood is soiled. The vinegar disinfects and the dish soap works as an added cleaning element.
Step 2
Spray the solution onto the wood furniture and wipe off with a damp cleaning rag. Using a damp rag removes traces of the vinegar and soap. Continue across the wood furniture until the piece is cleaned and disinfected.
Step 3
Wipe the furniture with a dry cleaning rag to remove any excess moisture, and use this solution as your all-purpose wood cleaner and disinfectant.
