If your tile grout is dirty or stained and in need of a thorough cleaning, consider using OxiClean. Unlike chlorine bleach that may discolor the grout, OxiClean will clean, sanitize and remove stains without harming the grout. Furthermore, OxiClean is environmentally friendly unlike more harsh products commonly used to clean grout. Using OxiClean to clean your tile grout will leave it bright and clean without compromising the grout itself.
Step 1
Sweep the grout and tiled surface with a broom or vacuum cleaner to remove loose dirt, debris and dust.
Step 2
Mix the OxiClean with water into a bucket. Use 2 to 4 tbsp. of OxiClean for every 2 cups of warm water.
Step 3
Apply the OxiClean to the grout with a sponge. Soak the grout thoroughly with the solution. Start at the back of the room and work your way toward the door.
Step 4
Let the OxiClean sit on the grout for 15 to 20 minutes. Scrub the dirty grout with an old toothbrush. Rinse out the toothbrush often to avoid reapplying the dirt to the grout.
Step 5
Wipe up the liquid from the grout and surrounding tile with dry rags. Rinse the grout with a wet rag, then dry with clean rags.
