How To Make Homemade Cleaner For Plexiglass Windows
Things Needed
-
Spray bottle
-
Water
-
Dish soap
-
Lint-free cloth
Plexiglass is a durable surface that is often used in place of glass because it is less expensive, looks very similar and is less susceptible to breakage. While there are many cleaning products on the market that are safe for use on plexiglass surfaces, these are not always effective, and often are priced too high for your cleaning budget. Instead of purchasing one of these products, make a homemade cleaner that will clean your plexiglass without hurting your pocket.
Step 1
Dust the windows regularly with a dry, soft microfiber cloth. Add a few drops of water to the cloth to rub away mild residue.
Step 2
Pour 2 cups of water into a spray bottle with 1 tsp. dish detergent. The detergent will cut through heavy residue and dry streak-free.
Step 3
Gently agitate the bottle to mix the solution without creating bubbles.
Step 4
Spray the cleaning solution onto the plexiglass surface, applying a thin mist of the cleaning solution. Let sit for 5 seconds.
Step 5
Wipe clean with a lint-free cloth, wiping in large circular motions. Repeat until the entire surface is clean.
