Palm oil is a cooking oil that is made from the nuts of the oil palm tree. While palm oil is not as popular as other cooking oils like olive oil, you might find yourself cooking with it at some point. The palm oil grease that you cook with can end up on your clothes. To remove palm oil grease from your clothes, you need to give them a thorough cleaning treatment.
Step 1
Get a dull, hard object, like a butter knife, and scrape off any palm oil grease on the surface of your clothing.
Step 2
Cover the palm oil grease on your clothes with baking soda; wait 10 minutes.
Step 3
Brush off the baking soda. Some of the grease will be removed with the baking soda.
Step 4
Put some paper towels over the grease spot and blot it repeatedly. Move the paper towels to blot with different areas until the grease is no longer being absorbed by the towels.
Step 5
Squirt a small amount of grease-cutting detergent onto the palm oil grease stain. Rub the stain with your finger in small circles; let it set for five minutes.
Step 6
Rinse the clothing with very hot water while rubbing the palm oil grease stain.
Step 7
Rub on a pre-wash stain remover and wait five minutes before washing the clothes in the washing machine.
