Is Dyson's New Smart Light The Lamp Of The Future?

Dyson's made a name for itself for its high-tech and sleek vacuums, fans, hairdryers, and more. Now, the tech company has added a brand new smart lamp to its lineup, and it's designed to change with your mood, activities, and environments.

For starters, the Dyson Lightcycle Morph can mimic natural light by adjusting brightness and color temperature using a tracking algorithm to match daylight wherever you're located. And with the rotating light head, you can use the Dyson Lightcycle Morph for soft indirect light, as a feature light to highlight your favorite wall art or decor, for a more relaxing ambient light, and for a stronger task light intended to reduce eye strain.

But that's not all — the Dyson Lightcycle Morph uses heat pipe, cooling technology that prevents LED lights from overheating and helps maintain light quality so it can last for up to 60 years. You can also control the lamp with the Dyson Link app to adjust light throughout the day and choose from four preset modes. There's study mode to limit blue light exposure at night, precision mode for more natural light, relax mode for a soft but efficient light for nighttime reading, and wakeup mode to brighten gradually in the morning.

You can get the Dyson Lightcycle Morph as a floor lamp for $849.99 and as a desk lamp for $649.99. Both models are available in black, white, and silver, or black and brass, and are available online at Dyson.
