These Green Boho Rooms Have Envy Written All Over Them

We're sure that you're familiar with the typical color palettes seen in boho style spaces: sunset-inspired oranges, pinks reminiscent of Himalayan salt lamps, and plenty of earthy neutrals. But recently, a different shade has taken center stage, and of course, we can't get enough of it: green.

Gorgeous, vibrant, and often woven in with tons of houseplants, green boho rooms call to mind afternoons spent in a garden or walking among trees. But verdant foliage isn't the only way to represent — we've spotted accent walls, tile backsplashes, and decorative items like area rugs and throw pillows that get the job done, too.

If green boho rooms are calling your name and you want to combine pops of emerald with your rattan furniture and woven wall hangings, these spaces will leave you feeling inspired, or maybe even a little envious.

1. Green cabinets are giving us life.

A kitchen can absolutely use a dose of boho style. It's not a look that's just limited to living rooms and bedrooms. You can pair free-spirited pieces of decor like a vintage rug and bamboo chairs with bright green cabinets, which is a look Jessica Brigham nailed perfectly in this cook space.

2. Let a green sofa take center stage.

When planning out green boho rooms, we advise starting with an anchor piece and building out your decor from there. In the case of this living room belonging to actress Jenna Dewan, an olive sofa demands attention and proves that the color really should be a staple in every room of the house.

3. Toss in eye-catching patterns.

We wholeheartedly believe that green, even when it's a bold shade, can be a neutral backdrop. That means that the color won't detract from the rest of your design. For instance, Dabito of Old Brand New paired a green accent wall with brass fixtures, ceramic decor, and patterned cement floor tile (in a matching hue) in this bathroom, and we for one can't get enough.

4. It’s all about texture.

Boho style tends to focus on texture, and green boho rooms are no exception. Spotted at the El Rancho Joshua Tree, a tiny bedroom makes a big statement thanks to a dramatic accent wall. But the fun doesn't stop there; the colorful focal point is paired with a rattan pendant light, tassled duvet, a fringe wall hanging, and a woven area rug to tie the look together.

5. Mix in lots of colors.

Remember that green boho rooms don't have to be all green. In fact, you'll create even more visual interest if you include other hues as well. For example, in this bedroom styled by Jenny of Juniper Home, sage walls partner well with brass wall sconces, leather lounge chairs, blue accent pillows, a terra cotta throw, and a multi-hued rug.

6. Plants, real or faux, are key.

When Bre of Brepurposed created this green nursery, she didn't forget the most important piece of decor in any boho space: plants. In this case, the fiddle leaf fig is faux (but it sure fooled us!). We suggest either faux, real, or a combination of both to reinforce the verdant color palette.

7. Take the greenery to the walls.

Houseplants are essential in green boho rooms, but you can always take that greenery to the walls with the help of wallpaper. In this dining space belonging to Carole of Dear Designer's Blog, the palm leaf print injects dreamy tropical flair.

8. Green tile is everything.

Whether you're selecting tile for a backsplash, or for an alcove shower, we can't get enough of green tile in a boho bathroom. Here, in this space designed by Kelly of Studio DIY, striking emerald mosaic plays nicely with shades of pink and stylish decor.

9. Embrace vintage details.

The relaxed, perfectly-imperfect vibe of boho style makes this aesthetic a perfect match for vintage decor, as seen in a kid-friendly work space by Mandi from Vintage Revivals. Secondhand art, pillows, and even a pair of oars in the corner give this space a collected look, while still feeling playful.

10. Place the focus on a single green accent wall.

If you want to go for the gold ... or green, in this case ... we highly recommend a verdant accent wall. It'll work in virtually any boho space, from dining rooms to bathrooms, but we especially love it in a bedroom, like this board and batten feature wall crafted by Anita Yokota.
