As a new mom, Arbor & Co's Sarah Reed swears that research is the key for all decision-making — from nursery picks to baby oil. "I wanted to learn everything about health and safety for my little girl, so I went straight to my wise mom friends," she explains. "Every single item I chose for our nursery and baby all came highly recommended by fellow mom friends to be safe, effective, and incredibly useful. (Any mom will tell you you don't have the luxury of wasting time on unhelpful items.)"

But as a designer, Reed also wanted to make sure her picks were still elevated and easy on the eyes, which is why she went straight to her tried and true favorite retailers like Crate & Kids, Etsy, BeautyCounter, and Dove.
