Zachary has been writing — mostly for pleasure — ever since he was a moody adolescent in his parents' basement. He received his first shot at editing for the publication House Digest, where he put his love for research to use editing articles on interior design, houseplant care, and DIY garden hacks. As the managing editor, he seeks to ensure Hunker articles are accessible and fun to read for DIYers and design aficionados of all skill levels. Zachary's most sacred space in the home is the kitchen, where he loses himself in the fragrant art of wok cooking and the meditative task of hand-washing dishes.

Zachary graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor's degree in English and a minor in Asian studies.
